This is without a doubt one of the highest quality inflatable mattresses on the market. All inflatables suffer from two inherent problems, air expands and contracts and PVC stretches. Sevylor uses the heaviest gauge material of any manufacturer on the market, so stretching isn't as problematic as with thinner vinyls. The only way to avoid expansion and contraction would be to fill the mattress with nitrogen instead of air. That could be rather cost prohibitive.
